There are loads of ways of remembering hanzi. Maybe you’ve already seen a few?
We love stories and comics so we've come up with a different approach.
There are thousands of hanzi but you can write lots of them with just a few strokes. Just eight to be precise.
They have Chinese names but they don't stick in your mind - especially if you're a beginner. So we've renamed them.

We've then made a longer story to keep you entertained along the way.
There are some other apps around that use stories to help you remember the hanzi, like Skritter and Memrise. But very often they use different names for the strokes in different hanzi. Why complicate something that's already super tough?
Round here, we firmly believe that less is more. And in this case, that means the fewer options you have when it comes to making up mnemonics, the juicier and more memorable they'll be.
